Camp Tallowood YouTube Challenge

This June 14-19 at Camp Tallowood we will take a look at Solomon through Nehemiah and determine if He was enough for those who are part of this section of Biblical History. Everyone is searching for contentment, peace, joy, satisfaction, and fulfillment in life. In fact, God has created us that way. There is a hunger, a thirst, an emptiness, that haunts every human being and we chase after everything possible to satisfy, but our search as Solomon puts it, “is meaningless and futile until we find God,” Ecclesiastes 3:2.

So, here’s the challenge—the YouTube Challenge.

We’re asking students to come up with your best, most creative, 2 minute Camp Tallowood Promo Video, focusing on this year’s theme and post it on YouTube by May 1, 2009.

Pick a few friends. Come up with a script. Shoot the video.

The video will be judged by how well the theme is highlighted, youth camp
appeal, and creativity. The video that gets the most hits and the video that is judged the best by May 20th will be the winners!

The winning teams will win an hour paintball war at Camp Tallowood in June and their video possibly highlighted in the Tallowood Baptist Church Worship Services on May 24th. If the best video and the one with the most hits is the same, that team will be in an all out paint ball war with the youth staff.

So what’s this year’s theme:

“I Can’t Get eNOugh Satisfaction”

Think about these things as you make your video:

What is it that gives you great satisfaction?
When are you at peace with the world?
What fills the emptiness inside?
Is anything enough to really satisfy?
Is Jesus enough?
Is He just enough, or is He everything?

If you have any questions, let us know.
We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
